We were pleased to host and supervise visiting doctoral student Aleksandra Ilić from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade, for the past four weeks (April 15 - May 17, 2026).
Aleksandra's activities in Tartu were part of her doctoral thesis. During her time in Tartu, we focused on the implementation and optimization of computational workflows for virtual screening and molecular modeling for the identification of multi-target inhibitors. In collaboration with and under the supervision of Associate Professor Darja Lavõgina, Aleksandra gained hands-on experience in vitro studies on brain tumor cell lines.
Aleksandra was in Tartu as part of a researcher exchange within the COST project (CA22103), “A comprehensive network against brain cancer (Net4Brain)”.
